Fiqh Us-Sunnah By Sayyid Sabiq 1.0

Sabiq's seminal work, "Fiqh As-Sunnah," is a three-volume exploration that skillfully consolidates the teachings of the four major Sunni schools of thought. Released in the 1940s when Sabiq was merely 30 years old, this pioneering text presents a thorough examination of Fiqh matters and has been translated into numerous languages, making it a valuable resource for Muslims globally. Commissioned by Ustadh Hassan al-Banna, the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, Sabiq meticulously grounds each Fiqh ruling in the Qur'an and Sunnah, ensuring that he approached all four madhahib with objectivity and without bias.

Alongside "Fiqh As-Sunnah," Sabiq authored another notable work titled "Islamic Theology," which shares a similar aim of simplification while steering clear of unnecessary philosophical disputes. Beyond his literary contributions, Sabiq was an active Islamic advocate. In the late 1940s, he engaged with the Mujahideen in Palestine and traveled extensively, delivering lectures in mosques worldwide. He was distinguished as the first Azhar graduate to visit the Soviet Union to assess the state of Muslims there.

Brought into the world in 1915 in the Egyptian village of Istanha, Sabiq completed his education at Al-Azhar University. Following graduation, he served as the Director of Mosques and Islamic Education within the Egyptian Ministry of Islamic Affairs and taught at Al-Azhar before relocating to Saudi Arabia. There, he led the Shari'a Graduate Studies Department at Um Al-Qura University. Upon returning to Egypt, he dedicated several years to teaching at a mosque in Cairo.
